Stamford Bridge Community Pool is an important part of our village, providing support to our whole community. Local children use our pool to learn to swim, an essential life skill, and many adults in our community use the pool for both exercise and socialising, by attending our open swim sessions.  The pool is a registered charity and is run by a committee of volunteers. And we need your help. The pool was originally commissioned after the death of a local child in the river in our village. The community got together to raise all the funds to build the pool so that every single child could learn to swimBuilt over 35 years ago now, the pool needs to be re-lined and, re-tiled. The pool is leaking and the tiles are breaking and getting stuck in our filtration systems.  We’ve been managing by doing patch fixes for the last few years but that ‘plaster’ only lasts so long.Running the pool is an expensive endeavour without including the cost of maintenance projects, such as this one. Donate today via gofundme to ensure our pool can support generations of children to not only learn to swim but to love the water and exercise.
